Which LightBurn Version Do You Need?
LightBurn offers flexibility by supporting three types of laser controllers: GCode, DSP, and Galvo. Here's a quick guide to help you choose:
GCode Controllers:
Ideal for DIY lasers, 3D printers, and CNC machines, GCode controllers use open-source firmware like GRBL or Marlin. Commonly found in brands like Ortur, XTool, and AtomStack. Choose LightBurn Core for these.
DSP Controllers:
Found in industrial-grade CO2 lasers with LCD panels, DSP controllers are used in brands like Ruida, Trocen, and TopWisdom. Opt for LightBurn Pro for these, which also includes GCode support.
Galvo Controllers:
Used in high-speed fiber and CO2 galvo lasers, LightBurn supports those running EzCad2 or EzCad2 Lite. Select LightBurn Pro for these.
Each version ensures compatibility with your specific laser setup.
