Description

100W of Pulsed Precision: Strip Rust, Paint, and Coatings Without Damaging the Metal Underneath

The Herolaser 100W Portable Laser Cleaning Machine delivers a stable 100W pulsed fiber laser in a backpack-style unit that weighs just 0.78 kg at the handheld head — built for selective, non-contact cleaning that leaves base metal untouched.

Wire wheels, grinders, and chemical strippers all share the same problem: they remove material indiscriminately, and it's easy to gouge a surface or leave behind residue that has to be dealt with separately. Rust, paint, and oil coatings sit on top of the base metal — but sanding and grinding don't know the difference between the two, so they take a layer of your part along with the contamination.

The Herolaser 100W Portable Laser Cleaning Machine is built to solve that specific problem. It uses pulsed fiber laser energy — delivered in short, high-peak-power bursts rather than a constant beam — to vaporize surface contamination while leaving the metal underneath structurally unaffected. It's a handheld, backpack-style system designed for shops and field crews that need selective, chemical-free, abrasive-free cleaning without setting up a full stationary cleaning line.

Herolaser 100W Pulsed Laser Cleaner removing rust paint and coatings from metal with handheld pulsed fiber laser

Pulsed Fiber Laser Ablation, Not Abrasion

The machine's 100W pulsed fiber laser works by delivering energy in rapid, high-peak-power pulses rather than a continuous beam. Each pulse heats and vaporizes a thin layer of surface contaminant — rust, paint, oil film, mill scale — almost instantly, before enough heat has time to conduct into the base metal. This is fundamentally different from mechanical methods like grinding or wire-wheeling, which remove material through direct physical contact and can't distinguish between the contaminant layer and the substrate beneath it. The practical consequence for a shop is that a technician can clean a rusted bracket, a delicate weld area, or a thin-gauge panel without the risk of gouging, warping, or thinning the part — something that's a constant risk with abrasive tools.

Self-Developed Control System for Selective Cleaning

Herolaser pairs the 100W laser source with what the manufacturer describes as a self-developed control system that governs how the laser interacts with the surface, allowing an operator to dial in cleaning parameters for the specific contaminant and substrate in front of them. Where a fixed-output tool applies the same intensity everywhere, a controllable pulsed system lets the operator back off intensity on thin or delicate stock and increase it on heavier, more stubborn buildup. The result is that the same machine can move from stripping paint off a thick steel gate to cleaning corrosion off a precision part without swapping equipment or media.

Herolaser 100W Pulsed Laser Cleaner control panel and cleaning head for adjustable selective laser cleaning

Backpack-Style Design at 0.78 kg for All-Day Handheld Use

The handheld cleaning head weighs just 0.78 kg, and the system uses a backpack-style carry layout rather than a stationary cabinet or cart. Compare that to shop-floor abrasive blasting or grinding setups, which typically require the operator to move heavy tooling, hoses, or media hoppers around the workpiece — with a backpack-style laser cleaner, the power and control electronics stay on the operator's back while only the lightweight head moves across the surface. That matters most in field-service and on-site restoration work, where the alternative is dragging a full cleaning rig to a job site or, worse, removing a part and shipping it to a shop that has one.

Herolaser 100W Pulsed Laser Cleaner backpack-style portable laser cleaning system for field restoration and maintenance

9-Language Control Panel for Multi-Operator Shops

The intuitive control panel supports 9 languages, letting operators adjust cleaning parameters directly at the machine rather than through a separate app or computer interface some competing systems require. For a shop with a multilingual crew, or a business that resells or exports the machine, a single-language control panel is a real limitation — it either forces every operator through a translation step or restricts the machine to operators fluent in whatever language the manufacturer shipped it in. A multi-language panel removes that friction and shortens the learning curve for new operators.

Non-Contact Cleaning With No Media, Chemicals, or Abrasives

Because the laser cleans through vaporization rather than physical contact, there's no sandblasting media, no chemical stripper, and no wire wheel involved in the process. Traditional rust and coating removal methods generate dust, spent media, or hazardous chemical waste that has to be contained and disposed of — laser cleaning produces primarily vapor and particulate that can be managed with standard fume extraction, with no ongoing consumable cost for media or stripping chemicals. For a shop doing regular restoration or maintenance work, that eliminates a recurring line-item cost and a waste-disposal obligation that abrasive and chemical methods carry.

Herolaser 100W Pulsed Laser Cleaner handheld cleaning head for non-abrasive rust paint and coating removal

Built for Repeat Industrial and Restoration Use

Herolaser states the machine is built to undergo rigorous quality checks for long-term performance and is backed by expert after-sales support. A cleaning tool that sees daily use in an industrial or restoration shop needs to hold up to repeated on/off cycling and continuous operation in a way a hobbyist-grade tool isn't designed for — the durability testing and after-sales support commitment are what separate a shop-duty tool from a one-off consumer gadget that isn't built for that use pattern.

Versatile Across Metal Restoration, Maintenance, and Fabrication

The 100W unit is suited to rust removal, paint and coating stripping, and oil/grease film cleaning across a range of metal surfaces — from heavy-duty machinery components to more delicate parts. A single 100W pulsed system that handles both ends of that range means a shop doesn't need to stock separate tools for heavy-duty maintenance work versus precision or restoration work; the same machine, with its parameters adjusted, covers both without a change in equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions about Herolaser 100W Portable Laser Cleaning Machine

Q: What's the difference between the Herolaser 100W and 200W pulsed laser cleaners?
A: Both use the same pulsed fiber laser technology in the same backpack-style handheld design. The main confirmed difference is power output (100W vs. 200W) and price. Higher wattage generally means faster cleaning and more capacity for heavier coatings.

Q: What is the difference between pulsed and continuous-wave (CW) laser cleaning?
A: Pulsed lasers, like this Herolaser 100W unit, deliver energy in short, high-peak-power bursts. That's generally better suited to delicate or precision cleaning because it minimizes the heat-affected zone on the base material. Continuous-wave (CW) lasers deliver constant power and are generally better suited to faster, heavier-duty rust and coating removal where speed matters more than heat sensitivity. The two are different technologies suited to different jobs — this listing is for the pulsed version.
