Tools That Keep the Creativity Flowing
You’ve got more room now to dive deep into your projects. Retirement or semi-retirement hasn’t slowed you down — it’s given you freedom. Freedom to experiment, test new techniques, and expand your workshop. To others, it might look like a hobby, but you know better: it keeps your hands busy, your brain sharp, and your creativity alive.
For you, the joy is in having the right machine ready for the job. A CO₂ for wood and acrylic. A Fiber for metals. A UV for plastics and glass. Each one opens a new door, letting you try something different just for the thrill of discovery. It’s not about sticking to one thing — it’s about having options, and the freedom to create whatever comes to mind.
You’ve seen what can go wrong. Machines arrive banged up. Support dries up the minute payment clears. You’re stuck with chatbots instead of real people. That’s not how it should be. At The Maker’s Chest, you get someone who answers the phone, chases down missing parts, and advocates for you until it’s right — so you can get back to making.
You don’t need another machine - but you want one. For you, it’s about curiosity, filling gaps in your workshop, or finally trying out a new material. The decision isn’t just about specs or speed; it’s about finding a machine that sparks your excitement.
You’ve done your homework — YouTube videos, maker forums, tips from fellow tinkerers. But when it comes down to it, specs and wattage aren’t enough. You want confidence. Confidence that if something goes wrong, someone’s on your side. With The Maker’s Chest, you get both: the right machine to keep your workshop growing and the support that keeps your creativity flowing.

What Customers Say
I had a great experience with this company.
They offer a wide variety of devices and laser equipment, and the team was very helpful in guiding me to choose the right product. Their support and professionalism made the process easy and stress-free.
I’m really satisfied so far and currently waiting for my shipment to arrive.
Falcon 2 Set-Up
The set up of the Falcon 2 was challenging to say the least. Each time we had an issue, we were given direction on how to solve it. The step by step video for setting up the camera was excellent. I think we received good service after the sales.
We did find out that the air filtration system is too small to handle the 60W version. We are still looking into a system that will work.
I couldn’t be happier with my experience!
The customer service here is outstanding—they just walk me thru all the laser cutters that i may need for my studio n the selection of laser engravers is impressive, I appreciated the hands-on advice and open communication throughout the entire process.
If you're looking for quality laser engraver and cutters and fantastic support, I highly recommend them!
Your Questions Answered
Can I use LightBurn with more than one machine?
Can I use LightBurn with more than one machine?
Yes. A standard LightBurn license lets you install the software on up to two computers, which means you can control multiple machines from the same workspace. You can also set up different machine profiles inside LightBurn, so switching between your CO₂, Fiber, or UV is quick and seamless.
If you need more than two seats or advanced features, upgrades are available. For Tinkerers who run a fleet of machines, LightBurn is the go-to software because it saves time and keeps all your lasers organized in one place.
Which machine should I add if I already own a CO₂ laser?
Which machine should I add if I already own a CO₂ laser?
If you already have a CO₂ you can choose between adding a Fiber or UV system. Here’s why:
- Gweike G2 Pro 30W Fiber → adds metal marking to your workshop. The detachable handheld head makes it versatile for engraving tools, knives, tumblers, and larger parts that won’t fit under a fixed head.
- Haotian JPT MOPA Split Fiber 60W → gives you more power and speed for metal work. Ideal if you want crisper, deeper engravings and the ability to handle higher-volume jobs without stepping up to an industrial 100W.
- ComMarker Omni 1 UV → a cold-source UV laser that expands your material range. Perfect for plastics, glass, coated metals, and other delicate substrates your CO₂ or Fiber can’t handle. It’s the tool that fills in the “gaps” and really rounds out a fleet.
If you already own a Fiber, pairing it with a compact CO₂ gives you versatility on organic materials — wood, acrylic, and leather — for more creative projects.
Bottom line: A CO₂, a Fiber, and a UV together give you the widest material range and the most flexibility to tinker, experiment, and create.
What’s needed to add this new laser to my existing lineup?
What’s needed to add this new laser to my existing lineup?
While every laser has its own learning curve, if you’ve already worked with other machines the process is usually smoother than expected. Most lasers connect through software like LightBurn, which allows you to create profiles for each machine.
You’ll need:
- A compatible computer (Windows or Mac).
- The correct software license (LightBurn Core or Pro, depending on the machine).
- Some time to dial in settings for your new laser.
If you run into questions, we’ll help point you to setup guides, resources, or connect you directly with the manufacturer for technical support.
Think of it as adding another “profile” to your existing workflow rather than starting from scratch.
Is the manufacturer’s fume extractor enough, or should I upgrade?
Is the manufacturer’s fume extractor enough, or should I upgrade?
Many lasers give you the option to add a manufacturer-branded extractor, like the 100W unit offered with the ComMarker Omni 1 UV. These companion extractors can help with basic fume removal, but they’re not always designed for heavy or long-term use.
If you want a higher level of protection and reliability, upgrading to a FiltraBox unit is the better choice:
- FiltraBox Micro → Compact, multi-stage filtration, ideal for UV, smaller CO₂, and lighter Fiber jobs.
- FiltraBox Compact X → More airflow and larger filter capacity, built for higher-wattage systems and longer production runs.
👉 Manufacturer extractors are “starter solutions.” FiltraBox units are engineered specifically for continuous laser use and give you peace of mind that fumes are properly filtered.
What happens if something arrives damaged or doesn’t work?
What happens if something arrives damaged or doesn’t work?
You will never left on your own if something goes wrong.
If there’s damage, missing parts, or a machine that doesn’t work as expected, we step in as your advocate. We communicate with the manufacturer on your behalf, push to get replacement parts shipped, and work out a fair solution until the issue is resolved.
