xTool O1 Omni vs Morpho: Which Desktop UV Printer Should You Buy?
Choose the xTool O1 Omni if you want a UV printer from an established brand, with UV DTF decals, apparel printing on the DT+UV edition and a direct link to xTool lasers. Morpho is worth watching if extreme texture height or an open ink system matters more to you than delivery certainty, but today it's a crowdfunded machine with no independently tested production units. The xTool O1 Omni starts at $2,249. Morpho's Standard model is currently offered as a Kickstarter late pledge at $2,159, with a stated future retail price of $2,699.
A note on where we stand: The Maker's Chest sells the xTool O1 Omni and doesn't sell Morpho. We've used Morpho's own published specifications and campaign terms, and we've called out where Morpho's specs are genuinely ahead.

Quick Answer: O1 Omni vs Morpho
Morpho is a Shenzhen-based startup whose desktop UV printer raised more than $10 million on Kickstarter in a campaign that closed on October 14, 2026. It's offered in two versions: a Standard model with an Epson F1080 printhead and a Pro model with an Epson i3200 printhead, both built around an enclosed, moving-gantry design and an open, refillable ink system.
The xTool O1 Omni is a 4-in-1 printer: UV printing on rigid objects, UV DTF decals, and on the DT+UV edition, direct-to-garment and DTF apparel printing. It comes from a brand with an established retail and support operation, and through The Maker's Chest it carries a 75-day return window.
Based on the calls our team fields every week, buyers comparing these two are weighing headline specs against certainty. Both matter, so we cover both below.

Print Quality, Texture and Effects
On paper, Morpho's Pro model leads on resolution. Its Epson i3200 head at 2400 DPI and eight ink channels is a step above the F1080-class heads in both the O1 Omni and the Morpho Standard. The O1 Omni and Morpho Standard are closer: both use Epson F1080 printheads, with the O1 listing 720 × 1440 dpi and Morpho listing 1440 DPI.
Texture is where the models separate most. The O1 Omni builds up to 7 mm of embossed texture, with lenticular effects, a 2,000+ texture library and foil finishing through the optional LM1 Laminator. Morpho lists 5 mm for the Standard and up to 60 mm of 2.5D texture for the Pro. If deep relief is central to your products, that's a real difference, though it's a manufacturer figure that hasn't yet been tested on production units.
Morpho also lists a 168 mm (6.6") enclosed object height, useful for printing on boxes and taller items. xTool doesn't publish a maximum object height for the O1 Omni.
Print Methods: Decals, Apparel and Lasers
The O1 Omni is broader. Every edition makes UV DTF decals, waterproof transfers that stick to curved and irregular surfaces, so you can decorate items that won't fit under the printhead. The DT+UV edition adds direct-to-garment and DTF apparel printing with OEKO-TEX certified fabric ink. Morpho focuses on direct UV printing onto objects; it lists a roll-to-roll system as an optional accessory but doesn't offer apparel printing.
The O1 Omni also connects with xTool lasers for print-then-cut and print-then-engrave workflows, and xTool's Dual UV Print then Cut bundles pair it with a P2S or P3. For a laser engraving business adding color, that integration is often the deciding factor. The OR1 jaw-chuck rotary handles tumblers and cans with a seamless 360° wrap. Morpho lists a rotary jig as an optional accessory.
Ink, Maintenance and Warranty
Ink
Morpho's open, refillable ink system is one of its main selling points, along with a "NoClog" maintenance system that Morpho says removes the need for separate cleaning and moisturizing cartridges. Morpho lists 130 ml CMYK bottles at $18.99 and 290 ml white or varnish at $31.99 on its site. Those are bottle prices; per-print ink use hasn't been independently measured.
The O1 Omni uses xTool's own inks. Its UV ink is non-reprotoxic and GREENGUARD Gold certified, and its fabric ink is OEKO-TEX certified, which matters if you sell drinkware, kids' items or apparel and want documented, low-emission inks.
Warranty
The O1 Omni carries a 12-month warranty, with ink, printheads and wear items excluded as consumables. Morpho's late-pledge terms list a one-year printer warranty with a 90-day (Standard) or 180-day (Pro) printhead warranty. Buying the O1 from The Maker's Chest adds US-based support alongside xTool's and a 75-day return window from the ship date.
Availability and Crowdfunding Risk
Neither printer is shipping in volume today. xTool lists the O1 Omni as a pre-order, with machines estimated to ship from late December. Morpho estimates December 2026 for campaign backers and May 2027 for late pledges.
The difference is the type of purchase. An O1 Omni pre-order is a retail order from an established company with a return policy. A Morpho late pledge is a Kickstarter backing, not a store order, and this is Morpho's first crowdfunding campaign. Morpho has also announced that shipping units will print about 310–320 mm wide rather than the 330 mm originally listed. Based on our experience selling equipment to businesses of all sizes, a shop with orders to fill on a fixed date should weigh that uncertainty heavily.
